However, the legacy of the previous government continues to prevail in some ministries, raising concerns in social organizations and political detractors who affirm that these officials represent a “wall.”

For the political analyst Natalia Sierra, the total separation of the Alianza PAIS Party is not easy despite the evident internal splitting of the political grouping. “There are processes, agreements, complicities and even families behind this. As long as the past structure is not dismantled, the president will hardly be able to surround himself with his people. The referendum will be an excellent opportunity to legitimize himself politically and to be able to apply some changes,” Sierra states. (I)
