Channing Tatum has been chosen as the 2012 “Sexiest Man Alive” by People magazine.

The magazine’s new hit the newsstands on Wednesday morning with Tatum on the cover.

In the interview, Tatum tells PEOPLE that after he was told about the nomination, his “first thought” was: “You all are messing with me.”

When he told his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum, he remembers that she said, “What?” Now the Magic Mike star also says that he and his wife are “ready” to have kids.
