Hugo Chavez faces new respiratory infection
The health of the president of Venezuela, Hugo Chavez, has deteriorated thoroughly in the last few hours due to a new infection in the respiratory functions of the socialist leader of 58 years.
Venezuelans dawned this Tuesday with the news of the new president’s relapse, who has not been seen since early December, when he left to Cuba for his last surgery.
Despite his poor condition he continues to receive “strong impact” chemotherapy, said the government on Monday night in a statement.
This announcement gives the idea to the Venezuelan people that Chavez, who has ruled the country for 14 years, may not regain control of the country and is now preparing for a possible new presidential election.
