Chavez Returns to Venezuela After Radiotherapy Sessions

This Thursday, the Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez returned to his country after remaining 11 days in Cuba to receive his radiotherapy treatment for the cancer that assails him.

Chavez had been absent from the public for nine days while residing in La Habana, however he made a prompt appearance on April 23 to dismiss the rumours about his failing health.

The Venezuelan leader stated that the rumours are part of a “psychological war” of the opposition to make him look weak and unfit to rule the country. (AV)
