Chelsea Clinton Debuts On TV
Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hilary Clinton, debuted as a reporter on “Rock Center with Brian Williams” on NBC on Monday.
Clinton, 31, presented a report on a non-profit organization dedicated to poor children in Arkansas and interviewed Annette Dove, a volunteer who protects troubled teenagers and the poor of the decayed town of Pine Bluff.
” I deliberately kept my life private,” said Clinton, who said she was “convinced” to become a public person by her recently deceased grandmother, adding: “I hope to make her proud”
This has prompted speculation about whether Chelsea Clinton intends to follow in the footsteps of her parents in politics and some have criticized for having achieved a position on TV having no experience in journalism.
