Vistazo Magazine Innocence was Rectified by TEC Judge
Ximena Endara, judge and president of the Electoral Tribunal (TEC for its Spanish accronym), corrected innocence Ecuadorian magazine Vistazo, after the suspension of the evidentiary hearing and the hearing trial on October 31 to discuss the case, which was driven by five social organizations allied to the Government, which are represented by Paul Baca and Raul Ocaña.
According to these, there was an alleged election offense for having published an editorial entitled ‘A Resounding No’, 72 hours before a referendum, which would have led citizens to vote in the negative way.
To this is added the request of the president, Rafael Correa, who during his Saturday’s broadcast said that the magazine would have incurred in a “blatant election offense”.
