Chinese Space Mission is a Success

Members of the search team approach the re-entry capsule of China’s Shenzhou 9 spacecraft in China’s Inner Mongolia Region.
The Chinese spacecraft Shenzhou-9 returned to Earth today, after its ambitious mission was completed, taking a big step for the country including the journey of Liu Yang, the first chinese woman into orbit.
Last week, the Shenzhou-9 was successful in its space docking, making China the third country to complete the feat after the United States and Russia.
China has made rapid and steady steps to develop its space program in the last decade, like sending its first astronaut into space, completing its first space walk and the launch of two lunar orbiters.
China has high aspirations for the program and hopes to build a space station and bring a manned mission to the Moon. (MZ)
