‘Chucho’ will be buried in Quito
The remains of Christian ‘chucho’ Benítez will be viewed around 24 hours in the Quito’s Ruminahui Coliseum, thus said yesterday by the sports leadership of Pichincha who arrived to the place accompanied by members of the police force to arrange the details of the burning chapel in honor of ‘Chucho’.
The Ecuadorian Soccer Federation (FEF) said in a statement that due to certain procedures that have not been completed, the flight was delayed. Víctor Mestanza, official of the FEF, corroborated that they are expecting the remains of Benitez in the early hours of Thursday in the Tababela airport.
Upon arrival in Quito, the corpse of ‘Chucho’ will be transferred to the Mount Olive cemetery, but soon will be taken to the Coliseum so the fans can get to say the last goodbye to the young soccer player who died in Qatar on last July 29 .
The police will be in charge of controlling the security and has laid down that those who wish to attend will have to enter through the door N ° 1 of the Rumiñahui Coliseum where a platform and giant LED screens will be placed to transmit videos showing the exploits of the late soccer player.
