Civil society organisations demand repeal of Decree

In order that repeal Decree 16, civil society organizations went to the Council of Citizen Participation and Social Control (CPC) to ask for a dialogue with the Government.
The President of the CPC, Fernando Cedeño, recognized that the document “have a series of drawbacks as confused citizens with non-governmental organizations”.
While the representatives also presented their arguments. Some consider that the Decree affects the rights of citizens and freedom of Association. On the other hand, there were complaints about the system of records.
