CNE Establishes Conditions for Electoral Alliances

Ecuador will held its Electoral Elections in February 17, 2013

The National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym), will approve tomorrow in Galapagos, the new regulations on matters of electoral alliances formations and registration of candidates for the elections of February 17, 2013.

The promoted alliances between political parties and movements may not materialize, in case the new regulations are approved.

Political organizations that fail to register or re-register before the Electoral Council until next August 17, may not participate in future elections or in alliances with political parties or movements.

With this arrangement the only movements entitled for alliances are: Sociedad Patriotica, Social Cristiano, Prian, Avanza, Roldosista, MPD, Socialista Frente Amplio, Pachakutik, Creo, Ruptura, Alianza Pais and Concertacion. (MZ)
