CNE proposes a Code of Ethics against the Information Filtering

Members of the CNE approved a Code of Ethics on 15 June at the meeting they had in El Oro.
The National Electoral Council (CNE for its Spanish acronym) approved a proclaimed Code of Ethics in order to prevent officials allegedly leaked internal information and reserved.
The plenum made the decision at its meeting on June 15 in Machala, El Oro.
The document contains a chapter called ‘Commitments for the use of information’, which sets rules for officials of the entity, such as: “refrain from altering or distorting the existing information and disseminate it or filter it without proper authorization”.
The Code of Ethics, approved by the CNE, indicates among its objectives, to establish patterns of behavior to be observed individually and collectively.
In the code, some institution and its officials values are named, such as: respect, fairness, solidarity, honesty, responsibility, commitment and loyalty. MZ
