CNE Will Formally Convene The Referendum Tonight

Tonight, the National Electoral Council (CNE) will formally convene the referendum proposed by President Rafael Correa in national radio and television.
The Constitution, in Chapter of Direct Democracy, said that the CNE would have to convene a referendum within 15 days, which must occur within 60 days.
The 15 days end today, and on May 7th, the 60 days for the plebiscite will be over.
All those over 18 years old must vote; it is optional for those over 65 years, 16 to 18 years, military and police and people with disabilities and for foreigners with the right to vote.Those who do not attend to vote shall be punished by a fine equal to 10% of a unified basic pay ($ 26.40).
