Coca Cola plans make an investment in Ecuador of $ 1,000 million over 5 years
Transnational multimillionaire company Coca Cola will invest 1,000 million dollars in Ecuador within five years, as revealed last Wednesday at the meeting between Muhtar Kent, president of the company, with Ecuadorian president Rafael Correa to present the investment program.
Kent stressed out the political stability and economic growth as significant factors for investment, which is framed, according to the authorities, on changing the production model being implemented by the Government.
Within the state program exists the objective of replacing 6,000 billion in imports until 2017. Besides a further invitation to foreign direct investment, the authorities have developed mechanisms to reduce purchases to other countries and to raise exports.
