Collective Fifth Power aligns in opposition to the indefinite presidential reelection
Pedro Freile, spokesman for the Fifth Power movement, explained that this group of young people emerged from social networks since the citizen protests in Los Shyris Avenue against the government, and its amalgam is based on a platform that seeks strengthen all public coincidences and put aside the differences that may exist.
He recalled that during the protests there were many reasons why people took to the streets, some for tax issues, others for violation of constitutional rights, abuse of power by the authorities, among others. “We (the Fifth Power) what we try to find is a way to achieve the convergence of all specific results, such as avoiding the presidential election, the substitution of a model of abuse and totalitarianism that does not allow Ecuador to function as a republic and build a new democracy.
