Colombian government and FARC will debate on victims of armed conflict
The dialogue table between the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the Colombian government tomorrow resume discussions on victims of the armed conflict as part of the peace talks in Havana, Cuba.
The issues by the peace process include repairing the affected by deaths, disappearances, rape and dispossession of land, among other alleged crimes.
Other pending subject is to address the abandonment of weapons and determining of the mechanism to countersign the agreements. It is also expected that they listen to the first group of victims next Saturday.
The leader of the FARC Rodrigo Londoño Echeverri, alias ‘Timoshenko’, said that he was convinced that “it is possible to achieve” a peace agreement in Colombia, noting the “best disposition” from this guerrilla to give explanations and bearing the consequences of their actions.
