In Madrid, yellow, blue and red appeared on the figure of the goddess Cibeles, in the center of Madrid, and in front of the City Hall of the Spanish capital.
The ignition was attended by just over a hundred Ecuadorians , who live in the Spanish capital.
This is the second year that the Cibeles is illuminated on the occasion of the independence of Ecuador, an initiative of the Ecuadorian Embassy in Spain and the Madrid City Council.
One of them was Jessica Escalante, 23 years old in Spain, who shared her excitement because the flag of her country was the protagonist on Tuesday night in the city.
“Spain is very welcoming, they welcome us very much and help Latin Americans a lot, today they light my flag, yellow, blue and red and I am very happy to be here and represent my country,” she said.
While in Australia, the Brisbane Bridge in Queensland was also illuminated in the colors of the Ecuadorian flag.
“Australia, illuminated by the National Day of Ecuador”, wrote the Ecuadorian Embassy in this country.
In the country, the holiday for May 24 will be from next Friday, due to the calendar of current holidays.
