Commission is waiting for the IESS calculations to assume copayment
Posted On 25 Aug 2016
The Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS) must present the actuarial calculation of what would imply the cost of its proposal to assume the co-payment when affiliates use prepaid medicine.
This was stated yesterday by Virgilio Hernandez, Assemblyman of Alianza PAIS (AP), and Chairman of the Economic Regime Commission, where the Tax Incentives Bill for Various economic sectors is analyzed.
This bill, submitted by the government as an economic urgency, raises, among other things, the deduction of income tax payments. The benefit for micro and small businesses would be 100%, for medium and large businesses 50% under the condition that the company grants that benefit to all its employees.
