Companies increased salaries by 2.37% in 2017, according to a study

According to the General Remuneration Study of the human talent consulting firm PwC, the average salary increase in Ecuador stood at 2.37% in 2017. And the trend for 2018 is 2.41%. From a sample of 300 local and multinational companies, 78% increased salaries, compared to 43% that did so in 2016.

53% of surveyed companies are located in Guayaquil and 47% are based in Quito. Of the total, 51% will make the next salary increase during the first quarter of 2018. (I)
