Company that wrote the final report on the Gabela case questions the report submitted by the Ministry
The company Consultora Pericial, which prepared the final report on the death of the former commander of the Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE for its Spanish acronym), General Jorge Gabela, said yesterday that the document submitted on Tuesday by the Minister of Justice, Ledy Zuniga, is not the one delivered to the authorities.
The Argentine Roberto Meza Niella, a member of the company, said in an interview with Ecuavisa: “I would ask the minister to show it completely, in a complete way the report and my signature to see if we are talking about the same report or not.”
In the report released by the Ministry is indicated that it was not possible “to establish the real motive for the crime (of Gabela, which occurred on December 29, 2010), discarding the murder by hired killers and information theft.”
Consultora Pericial posted on its Facebook account a picture showing two documents, one would correspond to the report made by the company and another, shown by the Minister.
Zuniga, on the image said in his Twitter account: “obviously it’s not the same document. One is an expert report (and) the other is a delivery certificate.”
