Construction contracts will be received in separate window

With the purpose to prevent the collapse at the moment to legalize construction contracts, the Labor Ministry plans to open a new window to receive and approve the contracting of this sector.

The measure is taken after the application of the new imposition of regulation governing the labor relations in construction.

Additional to this, the Minister Francisco Jose Vacas proposed a contract template, which will be pre-approved for builders to only have to enter the data of the worker to be recruited into the computer system and thereby expedite the process.

The minister met yesterday with hundreds of real estate professionals in the Guayaquil Chamber of Construction to discuss the draft law.

At the meeting attended the questions of those affected by the new future regulation and clarified doubts on the payment of tenths and utilities, on the possibility of dismissal and insisted that the contract duration of work has to be tied to the duration of the work.
