Cooperation between UN and Ecuador is subscribed until 2018
This Thursday Ecuador and the United Nations signed the “Framework Cooperation of the United Nations Development Programme” for the period 2015-2018 to support the government’s National Plan for Good Living.
During the subscription, the Resident Coordinator of the UN System in Ecuador, Diego Zorrilla, recalled that the cooperation framework “aims to ensure greater coordination in the countries of the actions” of its organization.
The objective of coordination is to have a “greater alignment of UN actions, in this case, the National Plan for Good Living and strategies for poverty eradication and productive matrix exchange,” Zorrilla said.
For his part, Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño said that UN cooperation has generally been “very well received and appreciated,” but stressed that it has “much more result, impact, when it is absolutely coordinated.”
