Copa America: Colombia Beats Costa Rica 1-0

The match between Colombia and Costa Rica excited Colombian fans when midfielder Adrian Ramos scored the winner goal on minute 45.

During the first stage of the Colombian’s debut in Copa America Argentina 2011 the soccer group was almost not noticed. Only sporadic moves constructed by Ramos and Radamel Falcao García were the most important in Colombia´s soccer. At the beginning of the match, Costa Ricans tried to attack Colombian Luis Enrique “Neco” Martinez´ arc without provoking much danger.

However, it was only about a couple of minutes, since the team coached by Bolillo Gomez took the ball and came near the arc of Costa Rica.This triumph puts Colombia in group A after the tie between Argentina and Bolivia. (MS)‪
