Ecuadornews:
Former President Rafael Correa has confirmed through a series of tweets the existence of an arrest warrant against his former Minister of Public Works Walter Solís but says this is not related to the Odebrecht Case. “The arrest warrant against former Solis is not for Odebrecht, as the press falsely claims,” Correa tweeted.
According to a document leaked through social networks on Friday night, Judge of the National Court of Justice Luis Enríquez would have issued an arrest warrant against Walter Solís for alleged embezzlement. The document is signed by the judge and has a stamp of the National Court.
According to Correa, the arrest warrant “is for a case he denounced and that has been investigated for four years. Only humiliation is sought. Do you remember that the same thing happened to Lula?”, he tweeted (I).
