Correa criticized posture of opponents of the government
President Rafael Correa spoke yesterday about a national and international consensus to “sell nonexistent realities to people”. This comment was made after the meetings that several mayors from opposition parties held for the 479 years of the Guayaquil foundation, where it was also announced that they will defend municipal autonomies.
The President noted that Spain’s Ambassador alerted him about a meeting that would have maintained a representative of the extreme right of the Iberian country with an Ecuadorian banker and former candidate and the owner of a major national newspaper.
Correa challenged the Mayors who have defended this position to be autonomous and not financially dependent on the State.
Moreover, the President inaugurated the Collas-Mariscal Sucre Airport route, a four carrile route which cost 198 million dollars.
