Correa travels to Cañar to see the progress on the works
In the highest part of the Guapan parish located in the capital city of Azogues, dozens of supporters of President Rafael Correa received him with joy, as he arrived by helicopter from Cuenca to observe the development of several projects, including the new highway system, which opened yesterday.
Oscar Calle, director of the Ministry of Transport and Public Works of Cañar, informed Correa about the characteristics of the recently opened work, which occupies the northern canton with a length of 7.7 kilometers and an investment of $ 1.6 million. Correa was also informed that as a compensation for the delay of the work, two more roads were built.
Correa also visited the building of the Secretariat for Migrants, which now will be the Vice Ministry of International Trade and Human Mobility, which, according to him, is about to be created, but did not specify when. The building of $ 4.6 million is completed by 43%. He also inspected the work of the University for Teachers to be built in Cañar.
