Reelected President Rafael Correa arrived before noon yesterday at the auditorium of Electoral Delegation of Guayas, where votes are counted.
The visit came just at the end of the deadline set in the law to officially communicate the results of the elections; however, the Provincial Electoral Board of Guayas did not finish its work.

Correa visited the auditorium of the Electoral Board of Guayas to defend his assembly candidate, Oswaldo Villacreses.
During the morning, the security of the place had intensified in and outside of the Delegation and its members were waiting for the National Electoral Council (CNE) to grant another term to finish processing the votes.
Later on came President Correa, who hugged and spoke with candidate Octavio Villacreses, of Alianza PAIS, who fights for a seat that represents district 2 of Guayas along with Daniel Cuellar, candidate of the Alliance Partido Social Cristiano-Madera de Guerrero, who did not even was allowed to enter the auditorium.
Correa, speaking to reporters, said that “it is clear that we have 16 of 20 assemblymen in Guayas, it is better that the Party-cracy to recognize its defeat not only of having lose the elections but dignity. Guayaquil and Guayas know who are the fraud experts. ”
After statements to the press and having generated excitement in his supporters, Correa said goodbye saying “the concern they have (the PSC -MG), is due to the seat occupied by Octavio Villacreses, so they experience a huge frustration and want to torture these figures, these ballots, until we confess what they want us to confess. Let them count every vote they want, but with transparency. “
