Correa will fly from the ‘old’ airport
Posted On 23 Feb 2013
In order for the President to fly safely and directly to any of the airports in the country, the city of Quito announced that it has authorized the use of the facilities of the recently ‘closed’ airport Mari
The presidential helipad will not move its operations to the new Tababela airport, but it must land there, when circumstances are determined, the diplomatic missions as well, and then moved to the city by car.
The heliport will operate also in cases of emergency, for example by the occurrence of natural disasters and “to any important mission for the benefit of citizens,” said the Commander of the Ecuadorian Air Force, Enrique Velasco.
