The prestigious Colombian magazine SEMANA has pointed to Raisa Vulgarín , current assemblyman candidate on the Correísmo list, as allegedly involved in the environment of Nicolás Petro Burgos, the son of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, who on Saturday, July 29, was captured by the Police accused of money laundering.

Vulgarín is the substitute candidate for José Agualsaca , fourth on the list of candidates for national assembly headed by the sister of former President Rafael Correa, Pierina Correa. If she were elected, she would have parliamentary immunity and Supreme Court jurisdiction.
According to journalist Martín Pallares, Vulgarín was part of Vinicio Alvarado ‘s communication teamduring the government of Rafael Correa.
Pallares says that Raisa Vulgarín was a close collaborator of Vinicio Alvarado during the government of Rafael Correa and an active member of the correísmo troll center.
Alvarado, who was ultimately sentenced to eight years in prison by the Ecuadorian National Court of Justice for corruption, is on the run, presumably in Venezuela, and in those circumstances he was an advisor to the electoral campaign of Petro, one of the three strategists who worked for the current president whose payments are not reported to the National Electoral Council of Colombia.
Son’s cousin’s girlfriend
According to Semana, Raisa Vulgarín is the girlfriend of Camilo Burgos, cousin of Nicolás Petro Burgos, and also his right hand. The magazine has published a photograph showing Raisa Vulgarín, her alleged boyfriend Camilo Burgos, Nicolás Petro Burgos, and his ex-wife, Day Vásquez, who has recounted the entire network of corruption.
In chats revealed by SEMANA, a person identified as “Raisa” appears quoted on several occasions and who, apparently, is Raisa Vulgarín. In a compromising episode in which the then Petro-Vásquez couple required moving 200 million pesos in cash from Bogotá to Barranquilla, but since it was a high figure, they planned to do it with different people and for amounts of 50 million pesos, one of them the so-called “Raisa”.

In the chats, the closeness of Raisa with Day Vásquez is also noticeable, to the point that she even takes them to one of her trusted cosmetic surgeons, for an intervention that the current assemblyman candidate for correísmo wanted to do.
