In an interview with Radio América, the Secretary of State announced that the Ministry of Health is already planning a vaccination scheme to apply this reinforcement against Covid-19 to citizens, a process that will begin next year.

“It will be like the flu vaccine, we are going to need an annual dose,” he said.

On the same immunization process against this disease, Garzón ratified the objective of inoculating 85% of the population by the end of the year, to achieve herd immunity, for which, he said, there are sufficient doses.

Meanwhile, in a discussion with the media, the official revealed that, at the moment, there is a total of 9 million 915 thousand 820 doses of vaccines from different pharmaceutical companies to be applied in the population, which has not yet been vaccinated.

Regarding the epidemiological situation, the minister reported that in recent weeks there was an outbreak of coronavirus cases, which is why she called on the public not to neglect biosecurity measures.
