CREO will analyze Tituaña’s candidacy

Last October 27 at Guayaquil, the CREO movement presented Auki Tituaña as Guillermo Lasso’s binomial for next February elections.
The Creando Oportunidades movement (CREO) today will reveal its position on the complications that could have the binomial of Guillermo Lasso in these elections, Auki Tituaña, to assume such office.
Article 336 of the Democracy Code provides that “members and permanent members may not register as candidates in other political organizations unless they had resigned with 90 days prior to the date of closing of entries in the electoral process.”
Concern within CREO members comes after the announcement made by the leader and Assembly member of Pachakutik (PK), Lourdes Tiban, that the case of the Tituaña’s expulsion will be analyzed after the elections next February.
Meanwhile, Patricio Donoso, CREO leader and aspiring Assemblyman, considers that Pachakutik cannot expel someone who is not part of that movement. (MZ)
