Cuba Allows Household Sales

The new rules for the sale of households in Cuba will beome effective on November 10th. The new regulations seek to “eliminate prohibitions and make procedures related to the transmission of home ownership more flexible,” the Granma newspaper, which is the Communist Party spokesman of Cuba, informed.
The new rules recognize the sale, exchange, donation and allocation of housing between Cuban natural persons residing in the country and permanent residents on the island.
The new bill states that a citizen can only be own one household as a permanent residence and another one in other vacation areas for rest or holidays.
