The government of Cuba has authorized the purchase and sale of cars. This option was forbidden for half a century. This change comes from the reforms of the Cuban president Raul Castro.
This reform allows the Cuban government to purchase and sell new cars to international entities of foreign markets. The authorization for this reform will be delivered every five years, but the decree will be valid from September 28.
Foreigners that are temporary residents can purchase a total of two cars in Cuba or import them. Cuban immigrants can sell their vehicles too. (AV)
