Cuba would come out of the terrorism list “in the coming days”

The Secretary of State John Kerry announced that “in the coming days,” President Barack Obama will solve the permanence of Cuba on the list of countries that sponsor terrorism. The VII Summit of of the Americas has been the background scenario of transcendental meetings between President Obama and his Cuban counterpart Raul Castro, with whom the US president has sought to end the period of hostilities in diplomatic relations between the two countries since the Cold War.
“I’m going to allow the president the latitude which he deserves … to be able to make his decision based on the recommendation we made,” said Kerry in statements to CBS network. “He will make his decision in the next days, as the inter-agency process works through what we have evaluated.” Obama has not yet ruled on his resolution of removing the island from the list, of which it is part since 1982, of which is part since 1982, by granting asylum to Basque separatists (ETA), FARC members and militants from the Middle East.
