Cuban citizens await for the decision on their status in the Criminal Unit

A group of 30 Cuban citizens was transferred the morning of July 7, 2016, to the Criminal Unit, in Quito, for the hearing where their immigration status would be defined, after spending several weeks in the country, waiting for Mexico to grant them a visa, in order to subsequently enter the United States.
This, after yesterday they were evicted from El Arbolito park, where they concentrated after other evictions, first outside the embassy of Mexico in Ecuador, and then at La Carolina Park.
According to the defense of this group of foreigners, this would involve 149 Cuban citizens who would be without a certain direction, and whose desire is to reach the United States.
