The sixteenth date of the second stage will begin tonight at 8:00pm at the Alejandro Serrano Aguilar stadium with a match between Deportivo Cuenca and Independiente del Valle, as visitors.
The team from Sangolquí, who are three points behind the leader, Emelec, will go searching for a victory to stay in the Copa Libertadores qualifying for next year’s South American Cup, and even with the chance of winning the second stage to play for the title against Emelec, winner of the first phase.
The journey continues tomorrow at 12:00 when Universidad Catolica, after its recent loss against Emelec by 7-0, faces Deportivo Quito in the Atahualpa Stadium. The match between both teams from Quito will face the scorers of the tournament: the Argentines Federico Laurito from U. Catolica (22 points) and Federico Nieto from Dep. Quito (26).
The other four games will be on Sunday. Emelec appears as favorite in its visit match against Macara, at 1:30pm; Barcelona will host Deportivo Quevedo at 4:45pm, while at 11:30 Liga de Quito will face Liga de Loja at the Casa Blanca Stadium, and National vs Manta in the Atahualpa Stadium.
