“Culturnews,” an application that bets on the art
Culturnews, is a mobile application designed by brothers Rafael and Pedro Paredes along with digital developers Gabriel Bernal and William Tenen, which gathers and disseminates artistic events held in the city.
“The bad advertising management, in addition to the lack of information about all the theaters, bars and cultural centers, makes that events in Guayaquil are limited to areas that everyone knows. ‘Culturnews’ aims to bring together everything that happens in the city so citizens have a wider range to choose from,” said Tenen during the launch of the project that was held yesterday at the Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art (MAAC).
The young man added that, besides the agenda they handle, cultural managers will be able to register their own agendas between two weeks and three months in advance to make these appear in the application. ‘Culturnews’ is available since yesterday on the Google Apps platform and is free. In App Store it will be available from next Friday, 26 June.
