Customers invest less in the construction sector
Posted On 11 Jun 2015
“There is a reduction of investment by home buyers,” said Carlos Repetto, vice president of the Chamber of Construction of Guayaquil to daily Expreso, referring to the series of measures recently taken and announced by the national government.
Regarding the market of materials and supplies for construction, the situation looks the same. Vincent Lahmani, representative of Rinolpavimenta Ecuador, does not certify that there are problems or low demand for concrete, although he does notice a small drop in prices.
“When there is some economic slowdown affecting the construction sector, prices tend to go down a little bit,” explains Lahmani.
