Customs imposes new regulations for alcoholic beverages

The national service of customs of Ecuador (SENAE, for its acronym in spanish), reported in press releases to clubs, hotels, clubs and rooms for receptions or banquets,about the regulations for the subsequent control of alcoholic beverages which  will govern  from 2014.

For example, when renting social events facilities the organizers must present invoices or customs declaration of importation of alcoholic beverages which will be served,must also check that the foreign liquor has on the front label the name of the importer.

The documents highlight that the main objective of the SENAE is to ensure the correct performance of customs obligations, through the application of procedures for control,therefore points out that alcoholic beverages of foreign origin which are consumed or sell within rooms rented for events, must comply with all customs formalities andrequirements established in the national legislation.

In January of 2014, it will be four months gave to the liquor stores to renew their products in order to comply with  the regulation.
