The former assemblywoman Cynthia Viteri will present her candidacy to the Mayor’s Office of Guayaquil on Wednesday, August 15.
The event will be held at the Malecón 2000, in the so-called “Plaza de los Donantes”. Viteri will participate in the elections of 2019 sheltered by the alliance between the Social Christian Party (PSC) and the Movimiento Madera de Guerrero.
Viteri will aspire to replace Jaime Nebot, who has held the position for the past 18 years. To date, the only public candidacy for Olmedo’s Armchair had been made by the Patriotic Society Party, which in last March presented the businessman Bolivar Rosero to win the Municipality of Buenos Aires.
The figure of Jimmy Jairala also sounds for this position, although for the moment he has not formalized his candidacy. (I)
