It was all smiles between Daniel Noboa and Javier Miliei, presidents of Ecuador and Argentina, respectively, who met during the inauguration of Nayib Bukele ‘s second presidential term, in El Salvador.
The leaders met in the Plaza Cívica, in the heart of San Salvador, where the investiture ceremony of Bukele took place, who will complete his second five-year period at the head of the Central American country.
The interaction between Noboa and Milei was always friendly. A strong handshake began their meeting, before exchanging words and sitting down to witness the ceremony, this June 1, 2024.
Lavinia Valbonesi , first lady of Ecuador, was sitting between both leaders, wearing a light dress that contrasted the dark tones that coincided in Noboa and Milei’s clothing.
Noboa was present at Milei’s inauguration ceremony, on December 10, 2023. And, currently, the Argentine Police is collaborating with the Ecuadorian Police to find the whereabouts of relatives and allies of alias ‘Fito’.
One of the similarities between Noboa and Milei is that both based part of their campaign on praise for Bukele’s anti-crime policies, which reduced violence indicators in El Salvador.
The idea of imposing a tough hand against crime and strengthening prison systems are two of Bukele’s ideas that the leaders of Ecuador and Argentina intend to adapt to the realities of their countries.
