David Cameron´s reaction for Assange was “disrespectful,” says Ricardo Patino

Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino considered “disrespectful” the reaction of British Prime Minister David Cameron, who called “ridiculous” the opinion of the UN that condemns the arbitrary arrest of Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
“For me it is not ridiculous, that’s his reaction and is disrespectful. When the UN decides issues they like, then these are good and everyone has to abide by them. When they do not like the decisions, as in this case of arbitrary detention (…), then the decision is ridiculous,” said the chancellor.
In an address held Wednesday, February 10 in parliament, Cameron called the opinion of a UN committee as “ridiculous,” he denied that Assange is arrested arbitrarily and invited the founder of WikiLeaks to leave the embassy and put an end to “this never-ending saga.”
