Deadly Iraq Attacks Targets Shia Pilgrims

Three people perished by two roadside bombs that were targeted for Shia pilgrims, the attack left 23 wounded. The first blast occurred in Mahmudiya, a small town south of Baghdad, it killed two people and left 20 wounded.
The third victim perished when a bomb attached to a car carrying pilgrims exploded in Baquba, in Diyala province. These attacks are the result of a wave of bombings on Thursday that have claimed the lives of more than 70 people.
These terrorist activities have increased the tensions of the country’s sectarian divide at a time of ongoing crisis in the government. (AV)
