Yesterday retired military met in Quito and Guayaquil to take a decision on the controversy between the Government and the Institute of Social Security of the Armed Forces (ISSFA) for the alleged overpricing in the sale of land by that institution to the State for the Samanes park construction.
In the end they decided to declare Defense Minister Fernando Cordero “persona non grata,” said Bolívar Villavicencio Silva, representative of the retired officers to the Board of ISSFA.
Silva indicated outside the headquarters of the institution, in the capital, they will “stay alert, in surveillance, in a permanent Assembly to support the resolutions of the ISSFA Board members.”
