Defense Ministers of Chile and Ecuador will meet in may

Chile and Ecuador agreed yesterday, March,26, 2014, a bilateral meeting of defense in the city of Quito for the next may 23 and 24, in order to resume the links between the two countries.The appointment was announced after the Chilean Defense Minister Jorge Burgos, held a working meeting with the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ecuador, Carlos Larrea, in the framework of the International Fair of the Air and Space (Fidae 2014) that takes place in Santiago.Burgos promised to carry out a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Defense of Ecuador, María Fernanda Espinosa next May.
For his part, Deputy Minister Larrea recalled his meeting this Tuesday (March 25, 2014) with the Assistant Secretary of Defense of Chile, Marcos Robledo and highlighted the existing cooperation between the two Nations.
Larrea stressed the will of both countries to work together and the support of Chile for the creation of the South American defence school.
