The Club Sociedad Deportivo Quito was temporarily suspended from the Ecuadorian Championship of professional soccer for debts with a provincial association and with two players, according to the reports of the Ecuadorian Soccer Federation.
The ‘Chullas’ team has suspense accounts with the Argentine players Maximiliano Bevacqua and Matías Alustiza, whom the club owe 170,000 and $20,000, respectively, and also the club owes a sum of 17,000 dollars to the Soccer Association of the province of Imbabura
The President of the club, Iván Vasco, told the press that the institution is raising the money to catch up on the payments.
Deportivo Quito recently faced an outbreak of crisis, when several players refused to train because of delays in the payment of their salaries.
The team is positioned third in the initial phase of the Championship with 14 points after eight days.
