Ecuador won 5-0 to El Salvador
In a friendly match before their game against Paraguay for the qualifiers of the World Cup Brazil 2014, the ecuadorian selection won 5-0 to El Salvador. The Ecuadorian goals came through Felipe Caicedo which marked two, Christian Benítez, Jefferson Montero and Joao Rojas
Throughout the whole match Ecuador was fast, forceful and precise, especially from the right side where the skillful players Juan Carlos Paredes and Antonio Valencia play. Then Renato Ibarra joined replacing Valencia.
Ecuadorian containment midfielders Pedro Quiñónez and Cristian Noboa cut all dangerous actions generated by El Salvador, and gave less work to the central backs of the ‘Tricolor’ of Ecuador Frickson Erazo and Gabriel Achilier.
Salvadorians found no spaces to generate plays for the goals, they were imprecise in the midfield and had an erratic defense.
El Salvador had 2 clear actions in each stage, the first time from a free-kick which was tackeld by Máximo Banguera, and the second was wasted by Darwin Bonilla, who kicked the ball above the goal, at that time defended by Alexander Domínguez.
