Design biennial reinvents Ecuador
Yesterday the exhibition of the IV Iberoamerican Biennial of Design was inaugurated at the Center of Contemporary Art, this is a proof that the work of designers from the region has diversified.
Among the 17 domestic and 100 foreign projects selected for this exhibition there are pieces of graphic, textile, interior, fashion, architecture, product and digital design.
What characterizes the work of Ecuadorian designers who are part of this exhibition is their orientation towards entrepreneurship. Esteban Salgado, IDB representative in Ecuador, said that the proposals of these professionals were centered before the production of visual pieces. “Designers have now become producers and marketers.”
The exhibition will be open until August 23 and includes a hundred works from 22 countries in Latin America.
