Día E Will Be Celebrated Tomorrow

The third annual Day of the Spanish language, Día E, promoted by Instituto Cervantes, will be celebrated tomorrow. Latin American personalities such as Isabel Allende, Ricardo Darin and Shakira teamed up to invite to Spanish speakers around the world to celebrate “the party of those who speak Spanish,” said Allende.
Darin encouraged hispanics to participate and vote on the website www.eldiae.es for their favorite word in Spanish this year, and action that involved more than 100,000 people in 139 countries “Everyone proposes a word, and everybody votes for the one they like the most.”
Tomorrow the Cervantes Institute will announce what word in Spanish has been the most voted by Internet users worldwide from over 30 proposals from Spanish-speaking personalities.
