Dialogues by a treaty between Mercosur and the European Union

The European Union (EU) and Brazil today held a Summit with the aim to get an association agreement between the European bloc and countries of the Mercosur, stalled years ago.
Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil, along with the President of the European Council, Herman Van Rompuy, and the president of the European Commission, José Manuel Durão Barroso, will make an assessment of negotiations that resumed in 2010, however, It has not been yet an exchange of products access offer to their markets.
Sources close to the process added that States of Mercosur (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay, since Venezuela, which later joined the group, still does not participate fully in works with the Union), are expected of to reach a consensus on the objective of the negotiations.
