Diego Martinez is the new Presidente of the Central Bank of Ecuador

Vice President Lenin Moreno, will carry out the oath today to position Diego Martinez as the new president of the Central Bank of Ecuador, thus replacing Pedro Delgado, who fled the country after admitting he had forged his university degree to earn a mastery degree.
Martinez was Secretary of Planning and Development, he also was the National Secretary of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (Senescyt).
The new official would replace Delgado, who now lives in Miami and has arrest warrant in Ecuador so that he responds in the investigation process of “crimes against public order,” according to the Attorney General’s Office, Galo Chiriboga.
